These things are seriously hard to write
So I have been sitting here for the last half an hour, wondering what I should write about myself. Thinking I should write about my passion for front end development, usability and I guess somewhat accessibility (I do take my W3C Validation seriously). How about my adventures in IE6 cross browser testing and a bug that makes divs disappear when you cause hasLayout on a containing div, when the previous one has relative position and the disappearing one is static! But then I start to ponder, nah that's boring. I'd say you could gather that from the site.
I'm an avid follower of object oriented CSS (though only in big big projects, this is more of an experiment this site) and you wont find a single ID in my CSS stylesheet. How exciting is that! I also dabble in design sometimes when I need to. I have worked in Drupal, Wordpress, Magento and Concrete 5, along with Squiz Matrix.
I also would like someday to do some UX and IA. This was my background in university, however got shoved into front end in the real world and have been there since. I love it, no doubt. But sometimes you do need to shake things up a bit.
I am currently working at Squiz, and used to work at a design agency called
Struck & Spink.
What I do like is
I love Drum & Bass, totally love it. Being the single male that I am I sit late at night working to podcasts from Hospital Records and Drum & Bass Arena, Actually I'm listening to a track by a Slovakian crew called L+, its well good. I also enjoy traveling (who doesn't) and have been to more places than you can shake a stick at, but I digress. Oh I also play squash, that's quite good. And I love Apple. I wont work with pc's anymore. Never (well, if you pay me enough). I love getting stuck into massive projects, but the small ones are great on the side.
I live somewhere...
I'm all around the internerd, you can find me on twitter, google+ , Last Fm, Linkedin, I deleted facebook since my mum joined up, and this is my google reader account. But you can always email me at i@stevenjohnmiller.com as well. I enjoy random emails, that's what I made the account for!
